Fastenopfer cooperates with church-based and lay organisations and actors in civil society whose vision and approach are in accord with Fastenopfer's guiding principles in terms of content and method.

Ecclesiastical partners
These may be parishes, dioceses, religious communities and laypersons that are involved in pastoral work and, at the same time, foster social processes or development efforts.
Grassroots and/or village organisations
These are frequently secular and church-based people's movements with direct links to the target population, who are actively involved in helping to change the population's situation and assert their rights. Agreements with Fastenopfer are project-related and are often implemented via non-governmental organisations (NGOs)
Local, regional and national NGOs They support disadvantaged population groups in their organisational efforts and the assertion of their rights. They foster and support these groups by providing specific educational services and a forum to exchange experiences.
National and international non-governmental organisations.
These are networks active in development policy and ecclesiastical issues working at a global level.
